Blending modern americana and old-timey folk, The P’s & Q’s perform upbeat, crowd-pleasing, original music. A core trio of banjoist, fiddler and guitarist share vocals and often join in spine-tingling three part harmonies. Electric and/or stand-up bass and a drummer on a funky suitcase kit round out the full five-piece group.
While The P’s & Q’s appear
to be a traditional folk group, the surprising appearance of a theremin, an electric slide guitar, or a melodeon make it clear this band has its own indie flair.
The P’s & Q’s have played locally at venues such as The Great American Music Hall, Slim’s, Amnesia and SF Pride Main Stage, and have toured in the Midwest, Alaska, and the Pacific
Northwest. Equally at home playing intimate settings or on festival stages, The P’s & Q’s are a Bay Area treasure!
